Dear members,
What a fantastic year it has been. We are currently heading in to finals with 10 out of 14 teams eligible, which is a fantastic effort. Well done to all players. As part of the celebration of the winter season, we will be having our presentation lunch on the 19th of August. It will not be at the cold netball centre, but at a venue where we can sit at tables, eat prepared hot food and dance on the dance floor.
We look forward to seeing everyone for a great afternoon.

There will not be a specific theme, but as the event is a sit down venue and has a dance floor, come ready to dance.

Date: 19th August
Time: 11am – 3pm
Place: Mulgrave Country Club, corner of Wellington Rd & Jells Road, Wheelers Hill
Food: Hot food such as pies, sausage rolls etc including some vegetarian options
Drinks: Soft Drinks will be available at the bar. (No Alcohol available)
Cost: 15 and under $15
Over 15 $20
4 and under free

Please note that the club is subsidising this event, and not making a profit.

If you would still like to be involved in some way, then please feel free to come along to the next committee meeting on Tuesday 20th February, 7:30pm at the Netball Complex.

The next meeting will be exciting as the Executive Committee will be presenting a potential new uniform to all members who are present. The process of implementing a new uniform will take some time, and we will keep members informed.

Thank you for a great start to the year. I know that everyone is excited and looking forward to the new season starting soon.

Dear all players and parents.
While we still have some positions on the committee that are vacant, I would like to thank those who have volunteered to assist. As we now have a full executive committee, we will not need to have a further meeting next week. Please see below who our committee members are for next year, and which positions are still vacant. We would still love more assistance with these positions.

Important Information – 2018 Training Schedule
Usually at the start of the year just before games start, players find out when their training sessions will be. To assist parents and players of all ages next year and in to the future, it has been decided to have regular training times that will be in place on a yearly basis. Initially these new times will be trialled in 2018, and we envisage that they remain in future years.
Training will also take on a new look. As you can see, all teams in each age group will train at the same time as a squad. This will assist with players getting to know each other better, as well as having the opportunity to train with friends even if they are not in the same team. As part of this change in the way we train, we will also be looking at bringing in players and coaches with to assist with taking specialised training sessions. These specialised sessions will also be available for under 17 – open age group players.
You will notice that the under 17’s through to the Open age groups have a fitness session organised at Genesis Wantirna. If this is successful at the start of the year, then we will continue it throughout the season. Many of these players find it difficult to make it to training, especially before 7pm, so we have listened to the ideas of many players, and put in place a session that we know will benefit them. Students who are studying VCE often struggle to come to training, but we believe that this session will have a great benefit for their netball, as well as their ongoing study.
I am very excited about the direction that we are heading, as I believe that this new approach will assist all players reach their netball and fitness goals, as well as create an increased feeling of community.

On Saturday the 9th of December, Grading Day will take place at the Knox Netball Complex on the indoor courts. Below are the times that each age group will start. Each group will have a warmup together at the start of the session. On the day, you will be able to complete registration, as well as make payments. For all netballers that have paid registration, they will receive a bag. If you didn't receive this previously, then we can supply you with one on this day.
